Application of Resistance Welding Machines for Production of Precision Aluminium Joints

Electric resistance butt welding of aluminium alloys through thin metal interlayers has been investigated. The effectiveness of using not high capacity resistance welding machines for getting of precision joints has been shown. The technology of resistance butt welding of aluminium alloy 6063 through thin multilayer intermediate layers of aluminium 1050 foil has been developed. The results of microstructure and mechanical strength analysis have been shown.
