Design of Smart Technical Condition Analysis Systems for Electric Equipment of an Iron-and-Steel

Development of systems for continuous monitoring and diagnosing of the technical condition of electric equipment of an iron-and-steel enterprise is the major field in terms of designing smart information systems for industrial enterprises. This paper considers a principle for diagnosing technological defects of continuous-casting slab machines based on analyzing parameters of heat-exchange processes between the mold wall working surface and cast slab. Also, this paper presents an equipment diagnostics method based on motor current changes. The paper provides the circuit diagram of the system for continuous monitoring of the technical state of transformers of heavy-duty arc steelmaking furnaces. The system was implemented and is not used in the arc-furnace shop of Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works PJSC (MMK PJSC). The paper also considers the equipment of the system for monitoring the technical condition of asynchronous motors of group electric drives of roller table sections of plate mill 5000. The method for diagnosing the technical condition of asynchronous motors based on the general current vector in startup modes is presented. The paper presents the comparative analysis of spectrograms of experimentally-measured currents. The use of the wavelet transform of the general current vector is rationalized.
