High Impedance Transforming Dual-Band Wilkinson Power Divider

A dual-band Wilkinson Power Divider (WPD) with inherent impedance transformation is proposed in this paper. The stepwise design procedure is written to compute the design parameters analytically. The design examples are provided at arbitrarily chosen frequency ratios and impedance ratios. The proposed design supports excellent impedance transformation for Impedance Transformation Ratios (ITR) ranging from 0.1 to 50.0 and beyond. To validate the proposed concept, a prototype working at 1.8GHz/3.6GHz, is developed with different input (30Ω) and output port (50Ω) impedances. The measurement results are matched very well with the EM simulation results.
