An Analysis on Caching in Full-Duplex Enabled mmWave IAB HetNets

In this paper, we develop an analytical framework for a cache-enabled in-band full-duplex (FD) integrated access and backhaul (IAB) heterogeneous cellular network, using which we provide an upper-bound for the average success probability of file delivery. Using this, we study the performance of two commonly used caching strategies: uniform caching and caching M most popular files in terms of two key network performance metrics: latency and average rate of file delivery. Numerical results demonstrate the superiority of using FD in the IAB architecture for the considered caching schemes over HD methods, albeit certain trade-offs.
