Multi-view Terahertz Imagers with Flexible Carbon Nanotube Film Arrays

One of the issues on future terahertz (THz) imaging applications is the realization of ubiquitous measurements regardless of the locations, shapes and sizes of inspection objects. For this purpose we previously developed flexible THz imaging devices based on carbon nanotube (CNT) films that exhibits high absorption ratio in broadband frequency region. Here, by utilizing the newly designed CNT film flexible THz imagers, we report on novel type of multi-view THz imaging methods, which enabled us to fully visualize both the whole outer and inner surface of cylindrical industrial products including electrical lines and gas pipes.
