Selection of Precise Sensors for Wig-Craft Altitude Control

The paper describes the problem of ekranoplane (WIG-craft) altitude stabilization with great accuracy above the disturbed sea surface. Influence of sea waves and water spray makes the conditions for any location altimeter operation at ekranoplane unfavorable and forces to select carefully the type of altimeter to ensure high measurement accuracy and reliability. The opportunities of different types of altimeters use at ekranoplane are analyzed.
