Stand for Research of Asynchronous Engine Locomotive Automatic Cooling Systems

A stand was developed for the study of automatic cooling systems for traction asynchronous motors with feedback on the temperature of its most thermally loaded element, which makes it possible to reduce the level of alternating thermomechanical loads on the windings of the traction asynchronous engine, to increase their reliability and durability. The proposed stand includes a physical model of a traction asynchronous engine of a locomotive and allows you to implement a wide range of experimental studies, including the determination of both static and dynamic characteristics of the cooling system. The experimental data obtained indicate that when operating at low, near-zero values of the stator current frequency, the rotor winding experiences the greatest overheating, and as the supply current frequency increases, the stator winding already experiences the greatest overheating, and the greater the temperature difference. The discrepancy between the results of experimental and theoretical studies does not exceed 10%.
