Observer-Based Finite-Time Stabilization for A Class of Continuous-Time Descriptor Switched Systems

This paper considers observer-based finite time stabilization for a class of continuous-time descriptor switched systems with quadratically inner-bounded nonlinearities. By employing a switched Luenberger like observer, sufficient conditions are obtained to guarantee the resulting system be regular, impulse-free, have a unique solution and uniformly finite-time bounded. Furthermore, some matrix decoupling techniques are used to design the observer-based controllers and a less conservative design method is given. Since the quadratically inner-bounded nonlinearities are more general than Lipschitz and one-sided Lipschitz nonlinearities, the proposed controller design methods in this paper are also more general than the existing ones. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated by a numerical example.
