Remote Monitoring and Control System for Domestic Electricity Consumption Based on WeChat Applet

The smart home system combines computer, network communication, intelligent control and wireless sensing technologies to provide people with efficient and comfortable living environment. Aiming to provide users with effective and straightforward electrical device's power information, a Remote Monitoring and Control System has been designed for Domestic Electricity Consumption based on WeChat applet. This system consists of one smart socket module and two software modules. Smart socket modules obtain the electrical devices' information like switching status and power information. The information is uploaded to the database deployed in the server through Internet. The WeChat applet interacts with the server database and display the information on the graphical interface. The WeChat applet interface is able to show the power information of the electrical devices from the server, monitor the operating status of the devices and control the devices to turn on or off through the switch on the interface remotely. The proposed system can potentially improve users' living efficiency and achieve the effect of smart home to some extent.
