A Design and Simulation of Fuzzy PI Controller for Injection Molding Machine's Clamping System

The energy (flow, pressure) consumption at each processing stage of injection molding machine is different, so the speed and torque requirements of the motor are also different. The traditional hydraulic injection molding machine has serious high pressure throttling loss and overflow loss in every process. In order to eliminate these excess energy losses as much as possible, based on the principle and characteristics of injection molding machine clamping process, the fuzzy PI controller model is designed, and the simulation experiment is carried out. The results show that the dynamic characteristics of the fuzzy PI controller with self-tuning parameters are better than that of the traditional PI controller.
