Masking based Segmentation of Rotten Fruits

The paper presents a stable machine vision system having certain methodologies which converts images to digital format and execute operations on it for getting an enhanced output though getting required details is the prime concern. Detection by means of segmentation gives a very good result in the output image. A rotten or fresh fruit is detected at the output is a segmentation technique gives an effective result. In this work we have used an algorithm that includes background removal by colour space technique (mainly YCbCr), clustering using L*a*b* colour space and KNN clustering. For an automated system with less time complexity a GUI is designed which can load the image produce the output instantaneously.
