Information Holism – a New Way to Close the Information Gap

Accurately estimating and controlling future system states is a demand of growing importance (i.e. predictive maintenance). This article describes a new way of continuous real-time forecasting with the application in semiconductor industry. This new concept of information processing is quantum-physically inspired, enabling best algorithmic efficiency for the first time. The goal is to create physically grounded structures of smart manufacturing but also enable more efficient grounding for further advanced technologies like deep learning or AI systems. An often discussed question is whether the available information systems fulfill the user demands as good as possible. This requires robust architectural patterns, well-controlled data structuring, and avoidance of undesired complexity on all levels. Those systems have to deal with an at least quadratic complexity O(n2). This may cause long response times. Additionally, algorithms or ad-hoc user interrogations may become even more complex. The proposed methodology scales this quadratic (or higher) complexity down to linear complexity in terms of providing most efficient system performance to any kind of user interrogation.
