Closed Loop Control of SEPIC DC-DC Converter Using Loop Shaping Control Technique

Various control techniques have been used in literature to ensure the stability of the SEPIC converter. This paper introduces a graphical Loop shaping approach for designing a controller for the single ended primary inductor converter (SEPIC) which is unstable and Non-Minimal Phase System(NMP). Small signal averaging method is used to acquire the mathematical model of the given system. The stability analysis of open loop and closed loop SEPIC converter are carried out using real-time hardware-in-the-loop(HIL) environment. Simulation and emulator results are carried out using Typhoon HIL 402. The step response and bode are validated. The Desired Output voltage is obtained.
