Co-simulation of Electromagnetic Field for Solenoid Control System Using Three Kinds of Software

For electromagnetic control system simulation of solenoid, a method of co-simulation using three kinds of software named Maxwell, Simplorer and Simulink is proposed in this paper. The explanation of method is detailed, and results show that the method is efficient. Firstly, the solenoid model is established by Maxwell software for finite element calculation of transient and steady state operation analysis. Then, the power supply circuit of solenoid is established by Simplorer software. Finally, the control system is constructed using Matlab/Simulink software. The key technology of their co-simulation is the connection of variables between different software. The effectiveness of the proposed model and method is verified by simulation experiments. This co-simulation method can provide an effective way for future research and design of similar solenoid electromagnetic field control systems. It has high practical value.
