Design of Drive Control Strategy for Mini Pure Electric Vehicles on the Condition of Slope Climbing

Aiming at the problem that the driving performance of mini pure electric vehicles is insufficient in vehicle's climbing ability, a vehicle driving control strategy based on an new fuzzy control and the total torque command with the corresponding MAP is proposed to help advancing to improving the vehicle's driving performance in vehicle's climbing ability. The article uses the characteristics that the fuzzy control have better recognition for abstract acceleration intentions, this fuzzy control identifies the real-time state information of vehicle and the change rate of acceleration pedal opening, which represent the driver's acceleration intention, and the reference torque derived from the total torque command with the corresponding MAP is compensated to different degrees according to different acceleration intentions, which can improve the driving performance of the vehicles climbing ability, such as dynamic performance and maneuverability. Finally the vehicle tests verify that the whole vehicle driving control strategy proposed in this paper significantly improves the dynamic performance and operating performance, which make the vehicle more practical in the slope climbing condition of 5%~10% than the traditional control strategy, and the control is simple and easy to implement.
