A Colorful Organic Photovoltaic Devices with a 5.48 % Power Conversion Efficiency

We introduce a high-efficiency small-molecule organic photovoltaic (OPV) device which can emit different color with different thickness of the organic layer. In this OPV device, we can change the color output by simply tuning the thickness organic layer which forms microcavity cathode between layers of silver. Our OPV exhibited a highest power conversion efficiency of 5.48%, with an open circuit voltage of 0.89 V, and short-circuit current density of 9.17 mA/cm². Fill factor (FF) was calculated as 67.2 % under 1 sun solar illumination (AM 1.5G).
