A new 48 V 30 A SMR with direct 380 V AC 3 ph input

The development approach and design solutions employed for the 380 V AC direct-input 48 V 30 A switch-mode rectifier are described. The unit achieved all design goals set out prior to development. The net result is a unit which incorporates the following characteristics: direct 380 V AC three-phase input, compact size, high efficiency and power factor, front to back cooling, stackable without baffles, ease of installation and set-up, and IEC 380 safety requirements.<>
