Analyzing Traces in an Informal Social Environment

Nowadays, students prefer using online social media (such as wikis, blogs, social networks rather than traditional learning resources. The formers, offer several and heterogeneous tools like sharing files, instant message, groups, etc. All the actions made by the learners while interacting with the learning environment are stored in a database called learning traces. The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of using social network as an informal learning environment. We first propose and present a new model of the trace used to analyze users' profiles. Then, this analysis will be used to recommend collaborators and relevant resources to users.
