A Method of Remote Sensing Water Bathymetry Based on Support Vector Machine

Water depth retrieval by means of remote sensing plays an important role in safeguarding national territorial integrity and marine economic construction, as it has an advantage over traditional methods of bathymetry especially in danger and disputed areas. Currently, bathymetry survey in disputed areas is still not common. On the basis of seniors' research, this paper focuses on Scarborough Island of South China Sea and sets up model of water bathymetry based on Support Vector Machine(SVM). The effectiveness and accuracy mentioned by experimental verification provide reference for the water depth retrieval in danger and disputed areas.
