A Review of Dynamically Tunable Attenuators Based on Graphene

As a two-dimension planar material with zero-gap structure, graphene has a lot of outstanding properties in microwave frequency band. The most noticeable characteristic of graphene at microwave frequencies is the possibility to electronically modify its surface impedance, just like a tunable resistance film. Due to this characteristic, the graphene material have been used to design tunable attenuators. In this paper, we review the development of dynamically tunable attenuators based on graphene which are all validated by experiments.
