Enhancing the stablity of AgNWs transparent conducting electrodes with 2.5Ω/Sq sheet resistance by the use of post-processing

This research presents the results of an innovative process that relies on three sequential steps for silver nanowire (AgNWs) post processing to improve the stability and electrical performance: thermal embossing, infrared sintering and plasma treatment. By conducting the three processing steps, a demonstration of a highly conductive film with a sheet resistance of 2.5 Ω sq -1 and high transmittance of over 85% is possible. This is one of the highest performing AgNWs electrodes reported to date. Moreover, we show that the stability to electrical biasing is greatly enhanced by conducting the post processing, thus improving the industrial applicability of the technology.
