A Framework for Dispatching Operation of the Flexible Load in the Urban Core Area

With the rapid development of the city, the operation pressure of power grid in core area during the peak load period emerges while it is difficult to renovate the grid. Meanwhile, the user-side load used to be rigid turns to be flexible gradually owing to advances in information, communication and intelligent control technology, allowing users to interact with the grid. This paper proposes the framework for dispatching operation of the flexible load based on demand response technology which is adapted to grid dispatch. In the paper, the characteristics and requirements of the regional power dispatch are considered. And regional security and stability operation, transmission lines, and the terminal load are set for the target, the optimization object and the control object respectively. Taking full advantage of the potential of user-side temperature-sensitive load can reduce the load factor of transmission and transformation equipment during the peak load period. The framework for dispatching operation of the flexible load helps to achieve bilateral interaction between the regional power grid and the end-users without reduction of comfort.
