Phase-Shifted Active Clamp Flyback Converter For Driving a Magnetron

This paper presents a method to design phase-shifted active clamp fly-back DC/DC converter 1600 W (4000 V, 400 mA) for Magnetron Driving Circuit (MDC). A high-gain boost fly-back converter has been used to design the MDC. An active clamp structure has been used to reduce the stress of the main switch. In addition, Soft switching conditions are provided using series resonance circuit. The phase-shifted technique for adjusting the beam current and voltage has been used as well. The MDC, which fits the power needed, can control the maximum and mean power in the minimum loss condition. The proposed structure for MDC can provide a maximum power of 1600 W. Also, the mean power of 400 W can be set by setting the mdc time on. The simulation results with MATLAB software confirms the converter's performance.
