Abstract:
One of the key technologies of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in the development and applications is the determination of the location of events or nodes. The shortcoming of traditional centroid location algorithm is that its position accuracy depends on the density and distribution of anchor nodes. An improved centroid location algorithm based on finite element method for wireless sensor networks is proposed. The initial location is carried out by signal strength information and triangle area of finite element method, and the final location is carried out by centroid location algorithm. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm effectively improves the localization accuracy of nodes compared to classical trilateration algorithm and triangle centroid location algorithm.
