Modeling of ECG and creation artificial database with synthetic T-wave alternans

This paper presents the electrocardiogram (ECG) modeling approach with different level of T-wave alternans (TWA). To create a variety of signals, 17 parameters were used, where three parameters were changed to create a signal with different level and types of the T-wave alternans. Type of T-wave alternans depended on: T-wave amplitude, duration of Q-T interval, T-wave amplitude and the duration of Q-T intervals. Generation of the alternans parameters were carried out with constant and varied HR. Parameter root mean square value of difference odd and even T-waves (rmsTmean) was chosen for the analysis of the influence of different level of the T-wave alternans on a synthetic ECG. A change in heart rate adds an additional error in determining the level of alternation ECG, which may not be related to the T-wave alternans.
