Calculation of Energy Economy by Dimming LED Lamps With Maximum Performance

This study presents the maximum dimming possible in street lighting design keeping all parameters at the levels recommended by the norms. The paper refers to the requirements of BS: EN 13201-2/2015 and the practical part of the paper consists in calculating the maximum dimming possible based on 3 criteria: maintenance factor, declassification of roads and footpaths in the hours with minimum traffic with one level and light intensity reduction based on the real distance of the poles in the field compared to the distance from the straight road calculation in street lighting design projects.
