Signal Quality Control for Cost-Effective Package Design

In this paper, signal quality control method is analyzed by extending signal routing in package. From the perspective of transfer function, extending signal routing in package can be a cost-effective solution without additional metal layer or discrete device, or expanding package size. If properly used, extending signal routing move signal ringback backward and minimize amplitude of the ringback without spending any cost to improve signal integrity.
