Joint Sparse Channel Estimation Under NOMA Scheme for Many Access MIMO System

Existing orthogonal multiple access methods can not accommodate the number of devices required in the 5G era. Active device detection combined with non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) solution can accommodate more devices. The impact of the NOMA scheme on the performance of active device detection, channel estimation, and decoding has been analyzed. Theoretical and simulation results show that: With the addition of the NOMA scheme, the active device detection performance will decrease slightly, but it will greatly improve the decoding performance and system capacity. Simulation and theoretical results are in good agreement.
