Building Syndrome and Symptom Association Network by Bayesian Network

The syndrome differentiation and treatment is the basic principle of traditional Chinese medicine to understand and treat diseases. Data-oriented scientific quantitative analysis on Chinese medicine dialectical thinking is of great significance to the development of traditional Chinese medicine. In this paper, combining clinical case data and expert knowledge, we build a Bayesian network model for the diagnosis of liver syndrome. Then inference forecasting was conducted on the model to verify the medical records, turning out to be of good ability of syndrome differentiation. Finally, the discussion of feasibility and insufficiency of the applications of Bayesian network in Chinese medical diagnosis is given.
