For Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) or a household, investing in a renewable energy power sources or battery system is not an easy decision. Cost efficiency, payback period and overall suitability of investment are often unknown and hard to estimate as well as choosing the right technologies and the optimal amount is difficult. To be able to provide educated estimate, the system for real-time virtual simulation of microgrid based on secondary measurements and online smart-meter data inputs was created.
