Study on sound absorption characteristics of multilayer composite structures

In this paper, a multi-layer composite structure composed mainly of perforated plates and porous materials is presented. The sound absorption performance of the structure is calculated and analyzed by transfer matrix method. The influence of perforated plate thickness, perforated plate material, perforation rate and porous material thickness on the sound absorption performance of the multi-layer composite structure is analyzed. The direction of optimization design is put forward. The results show that the sound absorption performance of multilayer composite structures can be improved by properly increasing the perforation rate and the thickness of porous materials.
