VSIE Method Based on Nonconformal Discretization for EM Scattering From Composite Objects

In this paper, an efficient volume surface integral equation (VSIE) method based on nonconformal discretization is developed for the numerical simulation of electromagnetic scattering by composite objects. This VSIE method introduces the Full-RWG and Half-RWG basis functions for PEC surfaces and Full-SWG and Half-SWG basis functions for dielectric objects. Based on that, the nonconformal discretization is allowed in this VSIE. The nonconformal nature of the VSIE method gives the considerable flexibility in the meshing. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the non-conformal method.
