Analysis & Challenges of Web Ranking Algorithms

The swift increase in the data on the World Wide Web, made it really difficult for the user to search the web and find out the relevant pages as per their needs. We starve for the desired information and knowledge and the quest to get the required information in lesser amount of time is still a dream. The documents extracted are sometimes not relevant in the perspective of user need. In order to pacify the quest of the users and to provide them with the exact information ranking algorithm came into existence that try to resolve the problems faced by millions and billions of user. In this paper we analyze the different ranking algorithms and their comparative study and try to focus on some of the challenges faced by ranking algorithm.
