Contract Management: Being Agile

Projects are becoming more complex over the years and likewise the landscape of project management is expected or has already begun to change. While traditional project management methodologies that aims on standardization may still work for some industries or organizations, others may find these no longer works for them without flexibility and tailoring to suit specific needs. This paper aimed to share how agility can be built through procurement - a key knowledge area of the project management book of knowledge. Specifically, this paper introduces how practitioners can design milestones in contracting, tailoring it to suit their specific needs, to help achieve agility in a traditional waterfall project methodology.
