Modification of Car Alternator as a Water Pump Drive

This study aims to modify the previous Car Alternator as a DC voltage generator and then convert it to a motor as a water pump drive with DC voltage input. Input voltage can use Accu cars or solar cells as the use of renewable energy. In the modification of the Car Alternator there are several components that are removed, including Diodes and ICs, so that only the Rotor and Stator Coil are used. At the time of testing, the stator coil is inserted 24 Volt DC voltage, while in the rotor coil the voltage is varied. The results showed that the maximum rotation is 7,707 rpm, with an input voltage on the rotor coil of 1.3 Volt DC.
