Phase Noise Compensation for Ultra-Highly Sensitive Fiber-Optic Quasi-Distributed Acoustic Sensing System

An ultra-highly sensitive quasi-distributed acoustic sensing system is proposed with a phase-noise-compensated configuration, which gives a 11.55 dB improvement to the sensitivity. A sensitivity of 92.84 jε /✓ Hz @ 500–2500 Hz is achieved along a 20-km weak reflector array with 20-m spacing. © 2019 The Author(s)
