Spatio-Temporal Measurement of Ionization-Induced Modal Index Evolution in Gas-Filled Hollow-Core Photonic Crystal Fiber

Using a prism side-coupling technique, we selectively excite four different higher order guided modes in a gas-filled single-ring hollow core photonic crystal fiber and use them to probe transverse photoionization-induced refractive index changes.
