Architechture, Applications and Security for IOV: A Survey

Regarding the growth of innovative generation intelligent transportation system, an essential role is anticipated to be played by internet of vehicles. As many as seventy five percent of cars worldwide will be connected by 2020. The growth in regard to internet of vehicles will bring in approximately USD 2.94 billion in revenue by 2020. For IOV to see its full potential, there are many challenges map need to be addressed including real time-vehicle data, enhancing the rate of on-time delivery, reducing fuel cost and manpower, traffic management, accident tackling are some of the important application that need to addressed. The ultimate goal is to achieve a more efficient, green and safe world of transportation. In the presented paper we first introduce the concept of internet of vehicles and its architecture. Approaching towards the second part of the paper we suggest various solutions and application for satisfying various challenges in the IOV field. Towards the end we discuss about the issues that arise in the IOV application and its future scope.
