Pneumatic and hydraulic systems in tertiary education

Demands and requirements of practice, to which new research and development results related to information and communication technologies as well as materials and industrial technologies are continually introduced, cause a need sustainably to update and innovate study programs of technical tertiary study branches, including study programs of technology teacher trainees. The paper presents results of a research survey, which was aimed at designing a platform for introduction some innovative aspects related to the issue of the use of pneumatic and hydraulic systems in industry production control into the study programs of selected technical study branches and technology teacher trainees, too. A positive finding is that also the students themselves are aware of the fact that knowledge of this issue broadens their future opportunities to find a relevant job opportunity in the labour market.
