Development trends in the field of automotive industry and their impact on vocational training

One of the most important current trends in the automotive industry is electro-mobility, represented by electric vehicles. To ensure relevantly qualified staff for these trends, vocational education and training has been facing a challenge to introduce new study fields, or at least to upgrade the current ones. The paper presents findings of a research the aim of which was to create an empirical-based platform for these changes in the vocational education and training. In particular, the research was aimed at training future mechanics of road motor vehicles with electricity driven engine or hybrids.
