The Relationship between Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy and Entrepreneurial Intention

This study examines the effects of the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. The empirical results from a survey of 644 Chinese students show that (1) entrepreneurial self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial intention; (2) entrepreneurial attitude has a significant positive impact on entrepreneurial intention; and (3) entrepreneurial attitude fully mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. The results challenge several findings of the existing research and provide a theoretical basis for enhancing university students’ entrepreneurial intentions.
