The starter retractor has two main functions. At the time of starting the internal combustion engine, the gear connected to the starter shaft is brought to the gear ring of the flywheel, and when the engine starts, returns to the starting position. A retractor relay starter is arranged on the principle of a standard electromagnet. It consists of two windings (retractor and retaining), starter and core connection circuit with a return spring. The outer end of the armature is connected with a lever-operated plug.
