A classification method of Active Protection System radar for distinguishing moving missiles

The target classification of interceptor system faces with the problems of high speed, short sampling time, and high echo fluctuation and so on. In order to distinguish the intercept target effectively, this paper proposes a method of echo difference with different frequency points. The data of two channels sampling from different frequency points, is compared to distinguish the target. This method can distinguish large threat projectile target and small non threat bullets target, reducing false alarm rate and avoiding mistaken injury to our own personnel under battlefield environment.
