Electrochemical Method of Dialysate Regeneration

In this paper electrochemical method as an approach for dialysate regeneration was investigated. It is shown that this method eliminated metabolites such as urea and p-cresol by means of direct anode oxidation. Intensive gas generation and free chloride and chloride-bound substrate production are the main issues of suggested method; however they can be overcome by means of sorbent method and degassing.
