Robotic Buoy and Small AUV System with Laser Positioning System and Real-time Colorimeter

We designed a new concept of AUV system for data collection in the water column and found a thorough possibility of operating actual functions. We fabricated a cooperative system including a small AUV equipped with a real-time colorimeter and various multi-probes, with a robotic buoy system equipped with a momentum gyro wheel. The two systems are connected to each other by a laser positioning system, which enables small AUVs to collect data on the desired path. In fact, we carefully regulated our system with budget and specifications, carefully analyzed the structure. In addition, we appointed the schemes with production and operation schedules. Therefore, we verified that the proposed concept of AUV system is suitable for actual field application.
