Abnormal trip analysis of circuit breaker in 220kV substation

In view of the abnormal tripping of a circuit breaker in 220 kv substation, according to the protection action, field inspection and test, the author preliminarily determines that the reason of the fault is the abnormal operation of the mechanical transmission mechanism of the circuit breaker. For the fault, it is put forward that the same type of circuit breaker and the same batch of mechanical transmission mechanism should be completely replaced, and B maintenance for this type of circuit breaker with longer operating life should be carried out to prevent similar faults from happening again.
