Rotor Field Oriented Control of Doubly Fed Induction Motor

Our contribution to the present work consists of the study and control of the performance of a Doubly Fed Induction Machine (DFIM) operating in motor mode against internal and external parametric variations. The orientation of the rotor flux provides a linear and decoupled control for optimal torque. After a study and modeling of the DFIM and PWM inverter, the implementation of the proposed control on the Matlab/Simulink environment is developed. The analysis of the simulation results of the present control approach clearly shows that the system perfectly follows the reference values and, consequently, provides good dynamic and static performance of the machine under study.
