Choose of Strategy of TPP Modernization with the Application of System Analysis Methods and Non-Linear Optimization

When modernizing the thermal power plants (TPP), environmental, economic, technical, risky and other criteria should be taken into account. The modernization can bother one or several subsystems of TPP. When using the Saaty's analytic hierarchy process, it's possible to choose the optimal strategy of modernization of the energy production facility by multiple criteria. The decision maker's (DM) subjectivism is one of cons of some methods of choose when estimation of criteria priorities for alternative projects is being performed. In this paper, the choose of modernization strategy of Novocherkassk GRES is performed using the Saaty's method. At the final stage, the methods of linear and non-linear optimization are applied to decrease the impact of DM's subjectivism. The fact that the implementation of the radical changes in more than two TPP subsystems in one project is not expedient is demonstrated. The modernization of the whole plant should be carried out in several steps).
