A Review about Wireless Monitoring of Electrical Equipment Temperature

The paper presents a review about the wireless monitoring methods used to identify the thermal stresses of electrical equipment. Following this expertise, there are presented several advantages and disadvantages of the current wireless monitoring methods of the electrical equipment temperature. In the final part of the paper there are presented the results obtained from a laboratory experiment, which aimed to highlight the disadvantages of the infrared temperature monitoring of a busbar. Also, in the case study it was assessed in what matter the infrared thermography monitoring method is appropriate.
