Internet of Things IoT Technologies to Disabilities Persons

In this paper, the testing for the extent of the lightning voltage that occurs from the actual low voltage distribution line is presented. Simulations are performed using MATLAB Simulink environment. Analyses are Implemented in two scenarios. In the first scenario, the system is considered without any Surge Arresters along the powerline; and in the second scenario the effect of appropriate Surge Arresters connected to the network is observed. The results of simulations show that in the first case, lightning overvoltages exceed the withstand level of the powerline's insulators. Therefore, the overvoltages must be reduced. In the second scenario, one set of surge arresters is installed along the distribution line and their impact on excessive lightning is analyzed in different cases.
